CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—February 19, 2015. Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier production of “Macbeth” at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, in the Barnes & Noble College Auditorium in the Conference Center of the PSC main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

The event is being sponsored by the PSC Foundation, Division of Liberal Arts, and Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Tickets for the play are $5 for students, faculty, and staff of PSC, and $10 for general admission. The performance includes the 75-minute production, followed by a 15-minute talk back with the actors.

Tickets are being sold before the event in the Business Office. Tickets also will be available at the door the morning of the performance.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater produces award-winning plays on their home stage on Navy Pier, as well as throughout Chicago’s schools and neighborhoods and on stages around the world. The company has been honored with numerous national and international awards, including the Regional Theater Tony Award, three Laurence Olivier Awards, and seventy-seven Joseph Jefferson Awards. CST was the 2012 recipient of the Folger Shakespeare Library’s national Shakespeare Steward Award for innovative teaching of Shakespeare in American classrooms.

“We are happy to bring one of the best cultural institutions of Chicago right to our Conference Center, and for a fraction of the price tickets would be on Navy Pier,” said Justin Vidovic, assistant professor of English and Liberal Arts at PSC, who organized the performance.

PSC President Dr. Terri Winfree added, “This is an amazing opportunity for our students, employees, and community members.”
