Transformation Lecture Series at GSU Continues With Tom Tresser


University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Transformations Lecture Series at Governors State University continues with a presentation by Tom Tresser, community activist, creativity champion, and defender of the Commons, on Wednesday, March 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Hall of Honors.

Tresser’s topic will be “Championing Creativity and Change: Working from the Bottom Up, Outside In.” Tresser is an instructor at DePaul University who believes creativity is America’s most precious natural resource. He has a long history of local activism and is the 2010 Green Party candidate for President of the Cook County Board.

The University Honors Program and the College of Arts and Sciences at GSU are sponsors of the lecture.

The final lecture in the series will be “The Transformation of Health Care for Underserved Populations” presented by Dr. Aida Giachello, Professor of Social Work at the University of Illinois-Chicago, on Wednesday, April 21, at 5 p.m., in the Hall of Honors.
