Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)- eNews Park Forest continues with our series of stellar students from Rich East High School. Mr. Kevin Kredens, the school’s publicity liaison, provides each student a series of the same questions. We are pleased to feature Warren Mills IV, an 11-year resident of Park Forest who wants to go to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Meet Warren Mills IV:
Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long? Yes. I have lived in Park Forest for 11 years.
At Rich East all four years? Yes. I have been at Rich East all four years.
What do you like the most about Rich East? I admire the teachers and the pleasure of socializing with my friends.
Favorite classes and why? My favorite classes are forensics and AP psychology. I’ve always been interested in learning about murders, DNA, blood, etc. I also enjoy learning about the human mind and how it works.
Favorite teachers and why. My favorite teachers Ms. (Sherrie) Towery because she relates to the students and is very informative and Mr. (Robert) Grigsby because he cares about what he does and his students. I like his approach to teaching.
GPA/Class Rank. My overall GPA is 3.228 and my class rank in 37th/202.
ACT: I received a 22 on my ACT.
Areas met or exceeded on PSAE. Mathematics and reading
AP Exams. I have not taken an AP exam yet.
What are you listening to on your iPod these days? I listen to a little bit of everything. R & B, Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop.
What is the last book you have read? The last book I read was The Bluest Eye, by Toni Morrison.
Favorite TV Shows. ESPN SportsCenter.
Places that you’d most like to visit. I would really like to visit St. Louis, Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas.
Activities/Athletics/Clubs participated in/Special awards? I have participated in Drama Club, Thespians, Speech and Debate, Green and Gold Apple Award.
Clubs, hobbies, community/church. Special volunteering in community. I like general story writing and I also like to write poetry.
College choice/Major: I want to go to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I want to study law and minor in business
Where do you want to be in five years/In ten years? In the next five years, I hope to have graduated from the University of Illinois and entering law school. In 10 years, I plan to be a defense attorney.
