Senators concerned US companies may be providing Assad government with tools for digital repression
WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–November 14, 2011. Following reports that American firms may be providing monitoring technology to the Syrian government, United States Senators Mark Kirk (R-IL), Robert Casey (D-PA) and Christopher Coons (D-DE) urged the Administration to investigate whether US firms are providing tools of repression to assist the Assad government’s crackdown on peaceful protesters and human rights activists.
