Cubs Visit St. Louis for the First Time Since Bryant Called the City ‘Boring’

By Steven S. Garcia

St. Louis, MO-(ENEWSPF)- The Cubs (31-23) and Cardinals (27-28) are set to prepare for a three-game weekend set at Busch Stadium. Both ballclubs have hit a skid in recent weeks, but it always makes for a good series whenever the two rivals meet up.

It will be the first time the Cubs visit the Gateway to the West this season, as well as Kris Bryant’s first time at the park since, said, “St. Louis is boring” during a sketch at the annual Cubs Convention this past winter.

After Bryant’s words went viral, a triggered Molina fired back and said, “Only stupid players and losers make fun of other cities.”

Bryant stated that he and Molina didn’t say much to each other when the two teams played each other at Wrigley Field earlier this month.

It didn’t stop there. The 27yr-old third-baseman stated the other day, “I hope they boo all of us.”

Bryant also went on to say, “We want the games to be a nice rivalry, intense. It’s always nice to play there because there’s a ton of people there, a lot of our fans show up. It makes it fun. No hard feelings.”

With that being said, Bryant is curious to see what kind of reception he’ll get from the Cardinals faithful.

Don’t worry Kris. The boo birds will be out in full-effect this weekend.
