SSESC Meeting and Mineral Program Report from March

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The South Suburban Earth Science Club met the evening of Tuesday, March 10th at Freedom Hall, Park Forest , IL . Members discussed having a booth this summer at the Park Forest Farmers Market. A decision was made to provide kid friendly activities along with information on the club and items for sale at the Market.

Future road trips to the Lizzardo Museum of Lapidary Art in Elmhurst , ILand the Chicago Field Museum were discussed.

The evening’s program was a mineral presentation by Daniel and Peggy Bolm. The Bolm’s shared various minerals and a recent CD ROM on minerals.

Robert Beadle continued the mineral theme by showing several rocks that florescent under a black light.
