It is still hard for many to believe that history will be made when Barack Obama becomes the first African American president. Never has there been an individual in my lifetime who could bring so many people together with the message of hope and change. On Tuesday, the nation and the world will be watching as Obama take the oath of office. As I look back on this ground breaking achievement, I think about the great leaders who tried to make this country a better place filled with equality for all. Those people include Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and several others. If they were alive today, they would be proud. As far as Obama, I think that people like him come along once every so often. As President, I think he will do the best he can to bring this nation together by restoring its great name. I also believe he will make this country a world leader once again.
