Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– In celebration of Black History Month, the Park Forest Commission on Human Relations will present The Journey of Barack and Michelle Obama, Saturday, February 28th at 3:00 pm at Freedom Hall, 410 Lakewood Blvd.
This exciting and timely program will explore the incredible journey that culminated in the historic election of Barack Obama, the first African-American president to hold the highest office in the country.
Chicago playwright Runako Jahi has written a short play just for this special occasion, and its premiere to the public will occur at this highly anticipated Black History Month event in Park Forest.
In addition, the program will include the personal testimonials and stories of two friends of Michelle and Barack Obama, feature art work of local students, and performances by a local choir and singer.
This will be a program that you and your family won’t want to miss.
