Village Stickers: Deadline Is April 30
Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Village vehicle stickers and animal tags for the 2026–27 year go on sale March 1. In-person sales are the following day. Park Forest officials are reminding residents to make their purchase early to avoid late fees and potential tickets.
Vehicle stickers must be properly displayed on all Village-registered vehicles by April 30, 2026. Failure to purchase and display a valid sticker by that date will result in a $25 late fee. Moreover, violators may be ticketed by the Park Forest Police Department. The dates are the same every year.
Vehicle owners registered in Park Forest will receive applications via U.S. mail, based on records from the Illinois Secretary of State. Residents can complete the form and return it to Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive. For added convenience, they can also drop it off in the white mailbox located outside Village Hall. Additionally, residents who are already in the system can purchase their stickers on the Village’s website.
Stipulations and Costs
Under Village ordinance, any vehicle operated on Village streets by a person who resides in Park Forest — or whose principal commercial location is in Park Forest — must have a valid vehicle sticker.
Passenger cars and trucks weighing up to 8,000 pounds are $50, while trucks over 8,000 pounds are $75. Recreational vehicles are $55, motorcycles are $30, and electric vehicles are free.
Limited discounts are available for people 65 and older, individuals considered physically disabled by the Social Security Administration, active military personnel deployed outside the Chicago area, and local school districts. Verification is necessary at the time of purchase.
Animal registrations are also due by April 30 and require a current rabies vaccination certificate and a $10 fee per animal.
Residents should carefully review their mailed application and submit payment before the deadline to avoid additional costs.
