Volunteers Needed for Sertoma Centre’s Annual Field Trip

Matteson, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Sertoma Centre is looking for people willing to donate one evening of their time on March 24th to help over 600 individuals with disabilities. We ask you to join other volunteers for a bus ride to McCormick Place and a few hours of packing vendor booths.

For the past seven years, Sertoma Centre has been fortunate enough to be one of only five charities allowed to receive donations from the vendors. As a community service agency dedicated to serving individuals with developmental, physical, emotional disabilities and/or mental illness, we are always grateful to those who consistently support our cause.

This event, in particular, where volunteers enjoy a bus ride with dinner and a few hours packing products has always been a wonderful opportunity for our agency.

We will find the appropriate job for each person’s skill level and ability, and will accommodate anyone who is interested in joining us. You must be 18 to participate.

We do need to know by March 17th who all of our volunteers are. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Diane Sak, Sertoma Centre event manager at (708) 481-5627. Or visit www.sertomacentre.org and click on the “Housewares Show 2009 Volunteer” tab.

The coach buses will leave Sertoma Centre, 4343 W. 123rd St , Alsip at 4 p.m. SHARP and return by 9:30 p.m. (You must arrive at Sertoma no later than 3:45 p.m.). Participants will receive a boxed dinner during the ride into Chicago .
