You’re Sure to Dig the PSC Foundation Special Event

Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Dust off those blue suede shoes and dig out the poodle skirts! The Prairie State College (PSC) Foundation is hosting its annual scholarship fundraising gala with a 1950s theme in honor of the college’s 50th anniversary.

“Scholarship Gold” will be held on Friday, November 14, at the historic Olympia Fields Country Club. Event-goers will dig a night of delicious food, a wide array of live and silent auction items, dancing, live music, and more. Auction offerings can be previewed at prairiestate.edu.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment by the PSC Jazz Pioneers Combo. A gourmet dinner begins at 8 p.m. Black tie and vintage apparel are optional.

Reservations are being accepted now through October 29, but space is limited. Individual tickets are $175, of which $60 is tax deductible. Ticket buyers should consult their tax advisor regarding charitable deductions.

This event is the Foundation’s largest single scholarship fundraiser, which assists hundreds of deserving students each year.

“Scholarship need continues to grow as the economy and job market changes,” said Marty Hesse, Foundation president.

To purchase tickets for the event or to make a donation to the Foundation, call (708) 709-3636.

“Gift certificates, electronics, and sporting event tickets become tuition and textbooks for grateful recipients,” said Event Chair, Dr. Anthony Maoloni, of Orthodontic Associates in Flossmoor and New Lenox. “Donors will receive receipts for their generosity and experience the satisfaction of making educational dreams come true.”

“PSC Foundation scholarships assist countless PSC students, many of whom would not be able to continue their education without this financial support,” said Cathy Killian Kloss, executive director of the Foundation. “We frequently receive letters from students telling us how their scholarships changed their lives.”
