Justice Department Files Lawsuit Against New Mexico State University Alleging Discrimination in Pay Against Female Coach

NEW MEXICO–(ENEWSPF)–August 11, 2016.  The Justice Department announced today that it has filed a lawsuit alleging that New Mexico State University and its Board of Regents (NMSU) discriminated against a female former assistant track coach on the basis of sex by paying her less than similarly-situated men in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
