Congresswoman Duckworth Calls for An End to Wasteful Spending By Cosponsoring the Audit the Pentagon Act of 2013

Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–March 15, 2013. Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth announced her co-sponsorship of the Audit the Pentagon Act of 2013. The legislation would impose a financial penalty on any federal agency that cannot pass a yearly audit, including the Department of Defense – the only federal agency not subject to an audit. Because of this, the Pentagon has lost tens of billions of dollars to waste, fraud, and abuse.
