Yesterday, bipartisan legislation introduced by Chairman of the VA Committee, Representative Jeff Miller (R-FL), Representative Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and Representative Tim Walz (D-MN) to help prevent Veteran suicide, passed the House Veterans Affairs committee. Earlier this week, the legislation received significant bipartisan support in the Senate. The Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans (SAV) Act, is a comprehensive bill to prevent Veteran suicide and help our nations heroes who may be struggling get the care and support they need. According to statistics, it is estimated that 22 Veterans are lost to suicide each day.
