Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–July 21, 2011. The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. Omar A. Jones, 28, of Crook, Colo., died July 18, in Balkh province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 126th Chemical Battalion, 92nd Troop Command, Nebraska Army National Guard, Wahoo, Neb.
