Debunking the Individual Mandate ‘Tax’

Washington, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–July 3, 2012.  Today, as opponents of health care reform continue to attack the individual mandate provision of the law as a “tax” on the middle class, the Center for American Progress released an analysis arguing that the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate penalty is a fine on freeloaders, and no more a tax on the middle class than littering fines are taxes on picnickers.
