CAIR Welcomes Ruling that NSA Phone Surveillance Program is Illegal

WASHINGTON, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–May 7, 2015 – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed a ruling by a federal appeals court that the National Security Agency’s (NSA) ‘dragnet’ collection of Americans’ phone records is illegal under the USA Patriot Act’s amendment of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
