Washington, D.C. —(ENEWSPF)–November 6, 2015. Center for American Progress Economist Michael Madowitz released the following statement today on the October 2015 employment situation figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS. The BLS announced that last month, the economy added 271,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.0 percent—both much stronger than markets expected.
