Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–August 23, 2013. Tomorrow, Americans from across the country will come to our nation’s capital to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Each of the four convening organizations of the Democracy Initiative has worked to mobilize its members to attend this historic event. These diverse membership organizations are acting together to address attacks on voting rights in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s decision to gut an essential component of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
