Faced With Prospect of Military Commission, Alleged Child Soldier Omar Khadr Accepts Plea Deal

NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–October 25 – Guantánamo detainee Omar Khadr has avoided a military commissions trial by pleading guilty to crimes committed when he was 15 years old. The American Civil Liberties Union, which is at Guantánamo to observe the trial that was slated to start today, said the military commissions are unable to deliver reliable justice and should be shut down for good.
