Lift the Ban – Let Americans Visit Cuba

MIAMI–(ENEWSPF)–November 17, 2009.  The following op-ed was written by Senators Richard G. Lugar, R-Ind and Howard L. Berman, D-Calif. and appeared in today’s edition of the Miami Herald.

U.S. law lets American citizens travel to any country on earth, friend or foe — with one exception: Cuba.  It’s time for us to scrap this anachronistic ban, imposed during one of the chilliest periods of the Cold War.
