SEIU: Romney Reveals Disdain for Working Families

WASHINGTON, DC–(ENEWSPF)–September 18, 2012.  After media reports of Mitt Romney’s remarks in which he derided 47 percent of Americans, Mary Kay Henry, President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), issued the following statement:

“Mitt Romney’s clear disdain for 47 percent of the American people is just the latest sign that as President of the United States he would govern only for the rich and corporations. What became crystal clear in the recordings of Romney’s remarks to wealthy donors is that voters face a stark choice in this election between a candidate who would reward the rich with tax break after tax break and a President who will continue to put the needs of working people first. By dismissing half of the voters in this country, Mitt Romney has shown his divisive vision for America and proven that he should not be President of the United States.”
