Today, the California Natural Resources Agency released the final two independent scientific assessments of oil well stimulation treatments, including hydraulic fracturing, in California, as required under SB4 (Pavley, 2013). The studies, conducted by the California Council on Science and Technology, reviewed available scientific information on fracking to assess the impact fracking could have on water, air quality, earthquakes, wildlife, and public health.
