Washington, D.C.—(ENEWSPF)—March 6, 2014. Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the “Polluter Protection Act,” H.R. 3826, which seeks to block commonsense public health standards for industrial carbon pollution from dirty power plants.
Power plants are major sources of industrial carbon pollution, responsible for approximately 40 percent of all carbon emissions in the United States. There are currently no restrictions on the amount of carbon pollution power plants are allowed to emit.
