Statement by AFL-CIO President Richard L. Trumka on October 2011 Jobs Report

Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–November 4, 2011.  

Our nation’s economy continues to let down the 99 percent of Americans who are struggling to make ends meet.  October’s jobs numbers showed lackluster job growth of 80,000 jobs over all, including the loss of 24,000 public sector jobs.  We need immediate action to jumpstart our economy and provide help to those experiencing tough times.
