Last month, Drug Policy Alliance’s Grants, Partnerships and Special Projects team, led by senior director, asha bandele, organized an historic delegation of advocates and journalists who traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to understand how that nation disrupted its own overdose epidemic in the 1990s, by decriminalizing all drugs in 2001.
