Village of Park Forest’s January 18th Business Breakfast to Discuss Crowdfunding

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—January 6, 2017.  The Village of Park Forest’s Business Breakfast will take place on January 18 from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Dining on the Green, 349 Main Street in DownTown Park Forest.  A complimentary full breakfast will be served. The discussion topic will be Alternate Funding Sources: Crowdfunding and What It’s All About.

Access to capital remains a huge challenge for small businesses and entrepreneurs in Illinois.  For that reason, the Small Business Advocacy Council and their coalition partners drove legislation to bring intrastate equity crowdfunding to Illinois.

Join us as Elliot Richardson, Founder and CEO of the Small Business Advocacy Council, presents an overview on interstate equity crowdfunding including:

  • An outline of the law that became effective on January 1, 2016.
  • Alternate options to raise capital outside of the traditional loan.
  • How to use the unique tool of interstate equity crowdfunding to raise capital in numerous ways including expanding local businesses, community development projects and real estate development.

The event is free and open to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Your business associates are always welcome to attend with you.
