Queseria Bendita Recalls Queso Fresco, Panela, and Requeson Because of Possible Health Risk

Washington, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–February 22, 2010.  Queseria Bendita of Yakima, Wash., is recalling three types ofcheese, Queso Fresco, Panela, and Requeson, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
