Children Hospitalized from Firearm Injuries: The Suffering Continues After the Gunshot

Elk Grove Village, IL—(ENEWSPF)—January 28, 2014. Every day in the U.S., about 20 children are injured by firearms seriously enough to require hospitalization, and more than 6 percent of those who are admitted die from their injuries, according to a study, “Hospitalizations Due to Firearm Injuries in Children and Adolescents,” in the February 2014 issue of Pediatrics (published online Jan. 27).
