Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–May 11, 2015. Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) announced that the Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a $541,667 grant to the Elgin Family Care Center in Elgin, Illinois. This grant will support health care services in the region and increase access to care for many residents. The new health centers supported by this grant project are estimated to increase access to health care services for nearly 650,000 patients across the country.
“I am proud that the Elgin Family Care Center is receiving this grant,” said Duckworth. “Access to quality health care is so important in our communities, and I am pleased to see the care center receive these funds to make our community a healthier place. The taxpayers of Illinois contribute more than their fair share to the federal government and I am pleased to see that resources are coming back to the 8th Congressional District.”
