Hartford, CT–(ENEWSPF)–October 4, 2012. Public Act 12-55, An Act Concerning the Palliative Use of Marijuana, took effect on Monday, October 1. Democrat Gov. Dan Malloy signed the measure into law on June 1. Connecticut is the 17th state since 1996 to allow for the physician-authorized use of cannabis as a therapeutic option for qualified patients.
