Drunk Driving Remains a Threat to Children in U.S.

Elk Grove Village, IL—(ENEWSPF)—May 5, 2014. Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death of children in the U.S., and in roughly 20 percent of such cases, at least one driver is legally drunk. A study in the June 2014 Pediatrics, “Child Passenger Deaths Involving Alcohol-Impaired Drivers,” published online May 5, documents how children’s risk varies across U.S. states.
