WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–April 26, 2011 – The USDA´s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing recommendations for affected residents in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Indiana and other portions of the Midwest to minimize the potential for foodborne illnesses due to flooding, power outages and other problems associated with the powerful storm systems that moved across the region yesterday. Those storms spawned life-threatening tornadoes, torrential downpours and property damaging winds. The next storm system is expected to start in northeastern Texas and southwestern Arkansas later today and move into the Tennessee Valley by evening.
