Wildlife Groups Seek to Protect Endangered Jaguar’s Critical Habitat in Arizona and New Mexico

Tucson, AZ –(ENEWSPF)—April 7, 2014. The Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) and WildEarth Guardians (Guardians) have notified the United States Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services program of their intent to sue over the program’s failure to ensure that its activities do not harm rare and endangered jaguars or their critical habitat in violation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The Western Environmental Law Center (WELC) sent the required 60-day notice on behalf of AWI and Guardians.
