White House Fact Sheet: United States-Philippines Bilateral Relations

Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–April 28, 2104 – President Obama visited the Philippines from April 28-29 to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to the alliance, and to discuss with President Aquino our strategic vision for the bilateral relationship.  The President noted our shared history, shared democratic values, strong people-to-people ties, commitment to peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, and commitment to build prosperity for our people and the global economy.
