Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–July 21, 2014. According to figures released by the British Government last week, over 60% of the countyâs bread supply is tainted with pesticide residues. This is a shocking increase from numbers recorded in 2001, which found 28% of bread to be tainted. According to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Expert Committee on Pesticides Residues in Food (PRIF), 2,951 bread samples were tested.
