WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–October 2, 2014. The American Civil Liberties Union today filed a motion asking the U.S. Supreme Court to halt Wisconsin’s voter ID law. A federal judge ruled the law unconstitutional in April. The state appealed, and in mid-September the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order allowing the state to implement the law as the case proceeds through the courts. The appeals court did not rule on the merits of the case.
