“I join Illinoisans in congratulating Bruce Rauner today and pray for his health and attention to the problems we face as a state.  I would caution our new governor to not balance our state budget on the backs of working class families.  Any solution to our fiscal problems should not come to the detriment to those that can least afford it, especially our retirees.  Work to find efficiencies and rid our state of waste, but do not cut programs that are vital to the health of our citizens.”
