“Cardinal Francis George will be remembered as a passionate advocate for the poor and for his steadfast support of immigrants seeking a better life in our country.  Cardinal George’s personal suffering throughout his life deepened his compassion and forged his strength as a man of God and as a faithful shepherd over his flock. He truly fulfilled his mission of loving the Lord and strengthening the heart of the church.
