ACLU Sues Federal Agencies Over License Plate Reader Information

Demands records on how ordinary citizens’ data is kept and shared.

BOSTON–(ENEWSPF)–September 25, 2012.  The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts (ACLUm) and the national ACLU today filed suit in federal court against the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security seeking records about the federal government’s use of automatic license plate readers (ALPRs).
