Team member Nicholas Williams of Homewood received a gold medal in both speech to entertain and program oral interpretation, a silver medal in both poetry interpretation and persuasive speaking, and received the Cheri Corey Award for Individual Sweepstakes, making him the regional champion as top overall speaker. He is the first PSC speech team member to win the award.
Other individual awards included Matt Jiles of Flossmoor, silver medal for impromptu speaking; Sarah Hill of Harvey, silver medal in both prose interpretation and dramatic interpretation; and Jasmine Ross of Richton Park, bronze medal in dramatic interpretation and silver medal in persuasive speaking.
