AFL-CIO Sends Letter to United States Olympic Committee to Raise Serious Questions about Rio Tinto, an Official Supplier of the Olympics

Washington–(ENEWSPF)–June 7, 2012.  In a letter sent to the Chairman of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) today, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka raised serious concerns about an official supplier of the Olympic Games, Rio Tinto. Trumka notes that Rio Tinto, a metal supplier which operates in the community of Alma in Quebec, Canada, has consistently mistreated its workers and the community of Alma.
