Bill Would Expand ‘Safety Valve’ To All Federal Crimes
WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–March 20, 2013)– Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) introduced bipartisan legislation Wednesday to allow judges greater flexibility in sentencing federal crimes where a mandatory minimum punishment is considered unnecessary.
