NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–7 April 2011 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called on Libyan forces to halt their attacks on civilians amid the deteriorating humanitarian situation in several cities across the North African nation, including Misrata, Brega and Zintan.
“The Secretary-General reiterates his urgent call for an immediate cessation of the indiscriminate use of military force against the civilian population and to ensure full access for humanitarian assistance,” his spokesperson said in a statement issued last night.
