Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–September 24, 2015. Republicans in the U. S. Senate followed the GOP candidates for president today in trying to defund Planned Parenthood. They failed.
In response to the vote, the Clinton campaign released the following #GOPtbt video highlighting Republicans’ efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at any cost, even when it risks a government shutdown. Defunding Planned Parenthood would mean fewer health care services for 650,000 women and hurting an organization that provides nearly 700,000 HIV tests and 500,000 breast exams a year.
“I’ll give Republicans this much – they’re determined. Sadly, these constant efforts to defund Planned Parenthood are worse than just crassly partisan attacks. They will undermine vital preventative health care services for women,” Clinton Campaign Director of Rapid Response Christina Reynolds said.
