Indianapolis, IN–(ENEWSPF)–February 24, 2011. Senate lawmakers on Tuesday voted 28 to 21 in favor of legislation, SB 192, which calls for a legislative review of the state’s criminal marijuana enforcement policies. The measure now awaits action from the House of Representatives.
If enacted, the measure would establish a legislative committee to assess the costs associated with marijuana law enforcement and to consider other public policy alternatives such as ‘decriminalization.’
