International Olympic Committee Sanctions Four Athletes for Failing Anti-Doping Tests at Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics

Lausanne, Switzerland–(ENEWSPF)–August 9, 2016. As part of this process, the IOC today announced that four athletes have been disqualified from the Olympic Games Beijing 2008 and London 2012. The details follow.

Nurcan TAYLAN, 32, of Turkey, competing in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event, has been disqualified from the Olympic Games Beijing 2008, in which she did not finish. Reanalysis of Taylan’s samples from Beijing 2008 resulted in a positive test for the prohibited substance stanozolol.
