Geneva–(ENEWSPF)–May 27, 2011 – The international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) evacuated its team from the western Libyan city of Zintan on Friday May 27, following repeated shelling.
“The city center has been shelled every afternoon over the last few days, with several rockets landing just 100 to 200 meters from the hospital,” said Dr. Morten Rostrup, an intensive care doctor with MSF. Fortunately, no severe casualties occurred.
