Pakistan: UN Officials Condemn Assassination of Government Minister

NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–2 March 2011 – Top United Nations officials today condemned the assassination of Pakistan’s Minister for Minority Affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti, the second high-ranking Government official killed since the beginning of the year, reportedly for opposing the country’s blasphemy laws.
