Today, in response to the ongoing illegal occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, Congressman Peter DeFazio (D-OR) led eight Members of Congress in sending a letter to Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and Attorney General Loretta Lynch. The letter urges the Directors to brief Congress on how they plan to respond to similar threats to America’s public lands and neighboring communities in the future.
